Each class focuses on different cooking techniques and the perfect pairing of flavors, all while embracing the freshest seasonal ingredients. Each class is set in your personal location and is hands-on cooking. There is an initial 30 minute online call to set up class dates that work for you! Class specifics: Class 1: Quick Fish Dishes & Varying Cooking Methods Begin your seafood journey with a focus on speedy yet flavorful fish dishes. Learn the art of preparing white fish in two versatile ways, like Seared Fish Tacos paired with a tangy slaw, and Broiled Fish Over Herbed Rice (or a warming Flounder Fennel Stew). You’ll explore different cooking techniques such as searing and broiling, giving you the tools to create delicious fish dishes with ease. Class 2: Fatty Fish vs. Lean Fish Dishes In this class, dive into the differences between fatty and lean fish, and how to craft dishes that highlight these contrasts. You’ll make a comforting Thai Salmon Curry, rich with flavors and aromatic spices, or a refreshing Salmon Nuoc Cham, showcasing the balance of fresh herbs and tangy citrus. This class will teach you how to master different textures and cooking methods for both types of fish, bringing out their unique flavors. Class 3: Exploring a Variety of Seafood Dishes Conclude your series by exploring the diverse world of seafood. This class will highlight a range of seafood, from succulent shrimp to delicate scallops, and teach you how to prepare them in unique and exciting ways. You’ll prepare Shrimp Lettuce Wraps, light yet bursting with flavor, and Scallops with Herbed Brown Butter or Chimichurri over a zesty Citrus Cucumber Quinoa. This class will guide you through combining seafood with vibrant accompaniments, creating dishes that are as visually appealing as they are delicious.
